THE SIXTH SEASON OF OUR OWN VOICE Theatre Troupe opens with Radio Refinement and other works, leading with a work that celebrates hope and the human spirit, written by company member Randy Youngblood.

A resident Theatreworks company, Our Own Voice Theatre Troupe is a mental-health consumer-based group with a mission to help empower the mentally ill through theatre. In addition to Radio Refinement, the production will feature 10 short works by Jeff Hutchison, a well-known local artist whose performance style incorporates elements of dance, theatre, clown, puppetry, and mime. Jay Rapp, artistic director of Project Motion, and Tracey Zerwig Ford, artistic director of Professor Chameleon's Eccentric Medicine Show, will also join in collaborative works with Hutchison.

Performances will be held at Theatre-works, located at 2085 Monroe, on August 30th and 31st at 8 p.m. and on September 1st at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. For more information or to reserve tickets, call 274-1000.
